Hires/Promotions/Honors

AMDG Public Affairs, a Buffalo Niagara-based strategic public relations services consultancy, has named Don Burns and db Media Company as its in-house digital/photography studio services provider. Burns, a professional cinematographer, film/video editor and photographer with more than 12 years’ experience, will collaborate as AMDG’s chief digital content producer. He will also retain his role as founder of db Media Company. He is a Fredonia State College graduate.



NetPlus Alliance, a buying group for industrial and contractor supplies distributors, appointed Paul Byrnes vice president of distributor development. Byrnes was with ORS Nasco as regional sales director. He will be based out of Pittsburgh. Byrnes is a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.



The board of the Project Management Institute’s Buffalo Chapter named JoAnn Boehm president for the 2014 term. Past President Mark Kwandrans is moving to a position with the chapter’s national parent, PMI. Kevin Baron has taken on the duties of director of volunteers.
