Sovran Self Storage has acquired seven self storage facilities in four states in deals worth a total of $98.7 million, the Amherst-based company said.
The purchases, which will add stores in the company’s existing markets in Connecticut, Texas, southeast Florida and New Jersey, total more than 575,000 square feet of rental space. All of the stores, which include two in New Jersey and three in Florida, will be switched to Sovran’s Uncle Bob’s brand name.
Sovran also said it has sold a pair of Uncle Bob’s stores in Tallahassee, Fla., and another in Christianburg, Va., for a total of $8.9 million. Sovran said it made a profit of about $2 million on the sales.
