Associated Brands, a Toronto-based supplier of private-label dry-packaged foods, is adding 25 new jobs to its Medina facility, with plans to spread the hiring over a four-month period.
The new positions are part of a broader multimillion project at the company, although a spokeswoman declined to elaborate on the scope of the investment. Associated Brands will hire workers for positions associated with a wide range of tasks, from sanitation, engineering and maintenance to planning, line operators and production supervisors.
Peter Kapferer, vice president of U.S. Supply Chain, said in a statement that the new jobs are “a major vote of confidence for our associates,” as the company builds on its cultures of “quality, reliability and continuous improvements.”
Medina’s 393,000-sqaure-foot facility employs about 300 workers. The facility handles manufacturing of things like powdered soft drinks and sweeteners. It houses 31 product lines and offers 15 packaging types, according to the company’s website.
