Ten teams led by University at Buffalo students have advanced to the semifinals of the Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition, with the winner to receive $25,000 in start-up funding.
The 10 semifinalists emerged from the first round of 28 entries. A panel of judges will reduce the field to five finalists on March 21. The finalists will make their presentations 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 2 in the Center for the Arts Screening Room on UB’s North Campus.
The winning team will receive funding for their start-up ideas as well as in-kind services. This is the 14th year of the program, which was funded by a $1 million endowment from the late Henry A. Panasci Jr.
