Hires/Promotions/Honors

Dansa & D’Arata, certified public accountants and consultants, appointed Marc P. McKenica, Anthony S. Gardner and Kelsey P. Kuppinger staff accountants. McKenica recently earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Niagara University. Gardner received master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University at Buffalo. Kuppinger is presently enrolled in the master’s program at Niagara University. Also, the firm promoted Daniel R. Garigen, a CPA, to senior accountant. Garigen has four years’ experience with the firm and has recently passed the CPA Exam.

John McKeone, business adviser in the Small Business Development Center at SUNY Buffalo State and an employee of the Research Foundation for the college, was awarded the 2013 Veterans Business Outreach Center of the Year award from the U.S. Small Business Administration. He was honored for working with more than 200 veteran clients providing targeted training, counseling and mentoring to help them develop businesses and entrepreneurial ideas in Western New York.
