The University at Buffalo named Dr. Elad I. Levy chair of the Department of Neurosurgery in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Levy, a professor of neurosurgery at UB, is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he earned his M.D. from George Washington University.
The law firm of Goldberg Segalla appointed Kerry Schiller chief operating officer. Schiller has held senior posts at Eversheds in London; Ashurst, where she was head of operations for Asia and helped launch the firm’s Hong Kong office; and, most recently, Dentons in Asia. She received a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Niagara University named David Cristantello vice president for institutional advancement. Cristantello was vice president for external relations at Daemen College. He earned a Ph.D. and master’s degree from the University at Buffalo and an undergraduate degree from SUNY Oswego.
Ivoclar Vivadent appointed Robert Fraass vice president of finance. Fraass, a CPA, served as an executive director of finance for a division of Greatbatch. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University. Headquartered in Schaan, Liechtenstein, Ivoclar’s North American headquarters is based in Amherst.
Damon Morey named Abigail D. Flynn-Kozara special counsel in the firm’s labor and employment department. Flynn-Kozara was an associate at Seyfarth Shaw in Chicago, and Reed Smith in Chicago and Pittsburgh. A University at Buffalo graduate, she received her J.D. from the Drake University School of Law.
WILLCARE appointed Anne Mason director of compliance. Previously, Mason was the corporate compliance/privacy officer for the Catholic Health System in Buffalo. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Windsor in Ontario.
Travers Collins, amarketing communications agency, named Danielle DelMonte public relations account coordinator. DelMonte, a Canisius College graduate, earned a master’s degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
WNY Asset Management appointed Evan S. Wardner senior wealth manager. Wardner has worked at LPL Financial and Kidder Peabody & Co. and is an adjunct professor teaching in the Certified Financial Planner Board Registered Program at Niagara University. He has an undergraduate degree and MBA from the University at Buffalo.
Arista Real Estate named Nicholas Corto director of commercial real estate sales. Corto previously was with JP Morgan Co. out of New York City. He graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.
M&T Bank named Ann Carbeck mortgage consultant at One Fountain Plaza. Carbeck, most recently a senior loan banker at Chase Bank, has 15 years of financial lending experience. She attended Hilbert College.
Polymer Conversions named Patrick Meheran director of Silicone Technologies. Meheran previously served as manufacturing consultant at PreSource Technologies, in Princeton N.J. He attended Empire State College.
