SUNY Buffalo State seminar tackles tech grants

A free seminar this month will spotlight $2.5 million in technology grants and teach best practices for taking advantage of them.

“Turning Innovation Into Industry,” a pro-technology training seminar available to entrepreneurs, researchers and scientists. will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 20 in SUNY Buffalo State’s Bulger Communication Building, Room East 2.

It will provide information on how to identify and apply for $2.5 million Federal Small Business Research grants and Small Business Technology grants

James Mayrose, a Buffalo State professor and technology entrepreneur who has been successful in securing federal support, will be the seminar’s keynote speaker.

In addition to Buffalo State, the training is also sponsored by New York State Small Business Development Center, the United States Small Business Administration and NYSERDA.
